NF 525
Compliant
The NF525 standard is a French certification requirement for point-of-sale (POS) and cash register software, enacted in 2018 as part of France's Finance Law to combat VAT fraud. It mandates that business software used for recording payments must be secure, unalterable, and provide an audit trail of all transactions.
Key requirements include: inalterability (data cannot be modified after recording), security (protection against fraud), conservation (archiving of data), and traceability (detailed logging of all operations).
